A Legacy Rooted in Values and Vision

Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University draws its inspiration from the life and ideals of Shri Ramswaroop Agarwal Ji (1925–1980)—a visionary whose belief in the transformative power of education continues to guide the institution. He strongly advocated equal education for men and women and firmly believed that a nation’s progress lies in value-based learning, ethical conduct, and social responsibility.

For him, success was never merely personal—it was meaningful only when it uplifted society. Principles such as integrity, hard work, dedication, transparency, and purity of purpose shaped both his thoughts and actions. These timeless values form the foundation of SRMU’s philosophy, influencing every initiative, academic pursuit, and community engagement. As an institution, we remain committed to carrying forward his legacy with humility, purpose, and resolve.

Our Journey

The journey of SRMU began modestly in 1999, with just 22 students and a strong commitment to quality education. What started as a small educational initiative has today grown into a multidisciplinary university known for academic excellence, innovation, and holistic development.

Established as a private university in 2012, Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University is located in Lucknow–Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, and has emerged as a prominent center for higher education in North India. Over the years, SRMU has evolved into a vibrant academic ecosystem comprising 11 institutes, a diverse student community, and an experienced faculty that blends academic expertise with industry exposure.

Admission Process

Admission Process

The admission process at Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University (SRMU), Lucknow is designed to be simple, transparent, and student-friendly. Admissions are offered through online and offline modes for Diploma, Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Integrated, and Doctoral programs.

Step 1: Application
Candidates can apply online by visiting the official university website or apply offline by visiting the SRMU campus and completing the application formalities.

Step 2: Eligibility Check
Applicants must meet the minimum eligibility criteria specified for the chosen program as per university and statutory norms.

Step 3: Entrance Examination / Merit Evaluation

Admission to most programs is based on entrance examinations conducted by SRMU or national-level entrance tests such as JEE Main, CUET, CAT/MAT/XAT, NATA, CLAT/LSAT, etc., depending on the course.

For certain programs, admissions may be granted on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.

Step 4: Selection & Counseling
Shortlisted candidates are invited for counseling, document verification, and seat allotment. Some programs may also require a personal interview or written test.

Step 5: Admission Confirmation
Selected candidates must confirm their admission by paying the prescribed fee within the stipulated time and completing all required formalities.

Note:

Candidates awaiting results or having a compartment in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements

To be eligible for admission at Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University (SRMU), applicants must fulfill the following minimum requirements:

Candidates must have passed the qualifying examination from a recognized board, university, or institution.

Undergraduate Programs:

Successful completion of 10+2 or equivalent with the required subjects relevant to the chosen program.

Minimum aggregate marks as prescribed by the university (generally 45%, with relaxation for reserved categories as per norms).

Postgraduate Programs:

A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university with the minimum required percentage/CGPA.

Diploma Programs:

Passed Class 10 or 12, as applicable to the program, from a recognized board.

Doctoral Programs (Ph.D):

A Master’s degree in a relevant field with the prescribed minimum marks, along with qualification in the university’s entrance test/interview.

Admission to certain programs requires valid scores in national or university-level entrance examinations such as JEE Main, CUET, CAT/MAT/XAT, NATA, CLAT/LSAT, etc.

Age limits, subject requirements, and additional criteria may apply as per the specific program and regulatory guidelines.

Note:
Students awaiting results of the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply, subject to submission of proof at the time of admission confirmation.
