About Us

JG University is a forward looking and technology driven university that prepares students for the industries of tomorrow. The university is approved by the UGC and is sponsored by the ASIA Charitable Trust, an organisation that has been shaping education since 1965 and successfully running many colleges and schools across Gujarat.

The university is guided by the vision of Dr CA Achyut Dani who brings more than 21 years of academic and industry experience. He holds a doctorate in management and commerce and has contributed as a mentor, researcher, author, and advisor to national and international organisations. His association includes roles at Gujarat University, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, the National Academy of Direct Taxes, the Confederation of Entrepreneurship Initiatives, the Asian African Chambers of Commerce and Industry, CIAC Global, and Passion Vista Publications. His contribution to education has earned him prestigious honours like the Bharat Jyoti Award, Gem of CA Profession Award and Brilliance in Education Award.

Established in 2019, JG University Ahmedabad has quickly emerged as one of the promising private universities in Gujarat. The university offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate and certificate programmes in modern domains like computer science engineering, cyber security, artificial intelligence, data science, business analytics, information technology, business management and digital design. It provides full time and part time study options with a total of 27 courses across multiple specialisations.

Admission Process

The admission process at JG University is designed to be smooth and student friendly. Applicants begin by filling out the online application form available on the official university website. After submitting basic details and academic information, candidates upload the required documents for verification.

For programmes like BTech and other technical courses, selection is based on scores from JEE or GUJCET along with merit from qualifying examinations. For the MBA programme, applicants are considered through national level entrance scores such as CMAT, CAT, XMAT, GMAT, XAT or NMAT. For courses like BCA, BBA, BCom, BSc and integrated programmes, admissions are granted on the basis of marks obtained in the Class 12 examination.

Once shortlisted, students receive communication regarding counselling sessions or personal interaction rounds if applicable. Final admission is offered after document verification, eligibility confirmation and payment of the first semester fee. The university supports students throughout the process and ensures quick updates and transparent communication at every step.

Minimum Requirements

Undergraduate (UG) Programs:
Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Class XII) from a recognized board with at least 45–50% marks in relevant subjects.

Postgraduate (PG) Programs:
A Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks is required.

Diploma Courses:
Applicants should have completed 10+2 or equivalent examination in any stream from a recognized board.

Ph.D. Programs:
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in the concerned subject with at least 55% marks (or equivalent CGPA).

For reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC/PH), a relaxation of 5% is provided.
Applicants with UGC-NET / GATE / CSIR / JRF qualifications are exempted from the university entrance test.

Age Limit:
No upper age limit; admissions are merit and qualification based.
