The University has evolved from its roots as Gandhinagar Institute of Technology, founded in 2006 by the Platinum Foundation, and later elevated to a State Private University in 2022. Today, it stands recognized by the University Grants Commission, approved by AICTE and the Government of Gujarat, and respected for its vibrant academic ecosystem.

Gandhinagar University follows a multidisciplinary and skill-oriented approach inspired by the New Education Policy 2020. With more than ten schools and a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes, the University provides an integrated educational environment where learners can explore diverse disciplines under one roof. The campus is located on the peaceful outskirts of Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, surrounded by lush greenery. Admission Process

The admission process at Gandhinagar University is based on eligibility, merit, and national or state-level entrance examinations. Candidates begin by submitting the online application form through the University admission portal. All required academic documents must be uploaded during registration. For programmes like BTech, the University considers GUJCET and JEE Main scores. For MBA, applicants can use CAT, MAT, XAT, or equivalent exams. Other UG and PG courses follow merit-based selection supported by personal interaction or counselling rounds when required. Shortlisted candidates receive provisional admission offers, after which they must complete fee payment and document verification to confirm their seat. The University also provides scholarship options for deserving and high-performing students.
