About Us

Bhaikaka University carries forward a legacy rooted in compassion, service, and a deep commitment to healthcare education. Its foundation can be traced back to 1972, when Charutar Arogya Mandal was established as a non-profit trust by Dr. H. M. Patel, a visionary leader known for his dedication to public welfare. Guided by his philosophy Solace for the Suffering, the institution began its journey to make quality healthcare accessible and affordable across Gujarat. This mission continues to shape every effort in medical education, research, and community care.

In 2019, the Government of Gujarat granted private university status under the State Private University Act, giving rise to Bhaikaka University at Karamsad. Named in honour of Shri Bhailalbhai Patel, fondly known as Bhaikaka, the University stands in the heart of the Charutar region, a place he helped transform into a thriving educational hub. Spread across a 100-acre campus and supported by Charutar Arogya Mandal, the University thrives as a specialised centre for healthcare learning.

Today, Bhaikaka University offers a wide spectrum of programmes ranging from MBBS, BPT, B.Sc Nursing, and Medical Technology specialisations to advanced MD, MS, MPT, MSc, PhD and Fellowship courses. With over 34 specialisations and more than 700 total seats, students receive industry-aligned training supported by the 900-bed Shree Krishna Hospital, the University’s renowned teaching hospital.

The curriculum blends rigorous academics with hands-on clinical exposure, ensuring learners gain real-world competence. Admissions are merit-based, considering NEET scores or relevant qualifying examinations, followed by structured interviews. Students also benefit from strong placement support, internships, and professional development pathways across leading healthcare organisations.

Admission Process

Admission at Bhaikaka University is based on a structured and merit-focused procedure. Candidates must submit the filled application form along with required photocopies of academic documents. Selection for undergraduate medical and health science programmes is primarily based on marks obtained in the Class XII Science examination or an equivalent qualifying exam, followed by a personal interview conducted on campus.

For MBBS and other NEET-based courses, the University considers valid NEET scores as per the guidelines of the Government of Gujarat’s admission council. Shortlisted candidates are invited for further rounds and final verification.

For postgraduate programmes, performance in Class X, Class XII, and graduation is evaluated along with relevant entrance exam results. Applicants securing the required merit proceed to the interview stage. All interviews and counselling sessions are held at the University campus.

Minimum Requirements

**Minimum Requirements**

Candidates applying to Bhaikaka University must have completed their Class XII education in the Science stream from a recognised board. For medical and health science programmes, Physics, Chemistry and Biology are mandatory subjects. Applicants for MBBS must also hold a valid NEET score as per state and national eligibility criteria.

For undergraduate allied health courses such as BPT, B.Sc Nursing and B.Sc Medical Technology, candidates must meet the minimum qualifying marks set by the University and fulfil category-wise eligibility norms where applicable.

Postgraduate applicants must possess a relevant bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution with the required minimum percentage. Additional entrance exam scores, academic records and interview performance are considered during the final selection.
