Admission Process

Admission Process
The admission process at Ahmedabad University is designed to evaluate a student’s academic strength, entrance performance, and overall readiness for higher studies. Candidates begin by submitting the online application form for their preferred program and uploading the required academic documents. Eligibility is verified on the basis of their Class 12 or graduation marks, depending on the course. Most programs require valid scores from national-level entrance exams such as JEE Main, GUJCET, CAT, XAT, NMAT, CMAT, GMAT, GRE, GATE, JAM, or CUET-PG. Shortlisted applicants are invited for further steps like interviews, counselling, or academic assessments. Final selection is based on merit, entrance scores, and overall performance during the evaluation stages. Once selected, candidates receive an admission offer and can confirm their seat by completing fee payment and document verification.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

UG Courses: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with at least 45–50% marks (depending on the program).

B.Tech/B.E: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics + a valid JEE Main score.

B.Pharm: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics.

PG Courses: A Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized university.

M.Tech: Graduation in Engineering/Technology + a valid GATE score.

M.Pharm: B.Pharm with a valid GPAT score.

Ph.D. Programs: Master’s degree in a relevant discipline with at least 55% marks (or 50% for reserved categories) + performance in the university entrance test/interview.
